nfl
spread betting
types of nfl spread bets:
supremacy
this is a market predicting a teams dominance over their
opposition. our experts will attempt to predict how many
more points any given team will score against their opponents.
you go high (buy) if you think the favourite will win by
more than we have quoted or alternatively, go low (sell)
if you believe the underdog will win.
total points
total points in the match.
back a high scoring or low scoring game. this can depend
on a lot of factors - weather, players, venue etc.
touchdown scorers shirt numbers
aggregate shirt numbers of all the touchdown scorers.
touchdowns scored by no. 81, no. 53 and no. 67 = 201
team performance
this is where we predict the overall performance of a team
during a match.
points are awarded for winning, drawing, scoring touchdowns,
kicks at goal and sacking the opposing quarterback. points
are deducted for missed kicks, and turnovers.
we will quote a price depending on how we think a team
is going to play, and how successful they might be. points
are awarded/deducted as follows:
win=25pts,
touchdown=15pts,
field goal=5pts,
sacking the opposing quarterback=5pts,
missed kick=-5pts,
turnover (not on downs)=-10
hotshots index
in this market we nominate four "hotshots" from
each team.
25 points are awarded for each touchdown scored by any
of the nominated players. we will quote a price based on
how many tries we think the nominated players may score.
handicap win index
sporting index will provide a handicap (known as the line)
of a teams dominance over another.
we will award a team that beats this handicap when winning
the game, 25 points. if they win but do not cover the handicap
line then we award 10 points. if they lose they get 0 points.
player supremacy
for live matches we will match two players against each
other. for example two quarterbacks are measured according
to the difference in their net passing yardage; while for
two running backs it is their rushing yardage that counts.
it is important to note that a quarterback’s passing
yards could be negative as any sackings will count as yards
lost. sporting index will quote a supremacy price according
to who we think is the form player.
super bowl 100 index
as the playoffs approach we make an index based on how
far each team will progress.
100 points go to the super bowl winner,
70 points to the runner up,
50 points to the losing conference finalists,
33 points for losing in the divisional playoffs,
20 points for losing in the wild cards,
0 points for missing the playoffs.
you can back any team to be eliminated early or to progress
further than expected.
1st quarter points
sporting index will offer a price reflecting how many points
we think will be scored only in the 1st quarter.
