Spread Betting News:
To help you get started we asked their Senior Premiership Market Maker for his thoughts on the big game:
"We'll price Chelsea up as the favourites,
but there are plenty of reasons to fancy
Liverpool to nick this one. They didn't play at
the weekend and put in a good show at home
against Leverkusen on Tuesday. Their squad is
practically at full strength, with Gerrard fully
rested, Kewell back on the wing and Morientes
able to play. Chelsea, however, played at
Newcastle on Sunday, then lost at Barcelona, and
now must travel to Cardiff with one less day's
rest than their opponents.
"When you consider all the recent injuries to
key Blues players, a fitter Liverpool will fancy
their chances. They were also unlucky to lose to
Chelsea in their last encounter at Anfield on
New Year's Day. Lampard and Gerrard may cancel
each other out in the centre of the park, and a
rested Morientes looks promising compared to
Drogba, who is not 100% fit. I expect to see
plenty of punters backing Liverpool - they have
good form at the Millennium Stadium, and will
give Mourinho's team a proper test - but you
can't discount the class in Chelsea's squad.
Personally I'll have a few quid on the Reds."

This weekend all eyes turn towards Kempton
Park for the Racing Post Chase. We've got the
spread betting low-down from Sporting Index for
anyone thinking about supplementing their normal
punting with something a bit different. Over to
their Senior Racing Market Maker, for his
opinion on the big race:
Colonel Frank is likely to start as the
favourite due to three impressive recent wins.
In particular he performed well on his last
start when beating Calling Brave and Lord Sam.
However, this horse is difficult to assess
because he has only won from the front in small
fields. Here he will be taken on for the lead
from the start. Given the proximity of runners
and the quality on display, I would expect a few
punters to bet against this horse.
"Farmer Jack is also a strong contender, having
beaten Celestial Gold and Strong Flow at Newbury
two weeks ago, albeit in a relatively slow time.
This horse can handle all ground and has run
well at Kempton before. Furthermore, trainer
Philip Hobbs has won this race twice in the
past. However there are plenty of front runners
who will test his stamina and resolve. He could
feel the effects of two hard runs in the last
month.
"Of the rest, Palarshan appeared to come back to
form in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Cheltenham last
month, but may find the extra 3f at Kempton
tough. If the ground is any softer than Good to
Soft this horse will struggle. 2002 winner
Gunther McBride is running off a 4lb higher mark
than his last appearance at this course in
October. This horse prefers good ground and I
think he is a little too high in the handicap.
The form of his good performances this year
suggests that he won't win off this mark.
"If the ground is soft, as expected, I would
look at backing one of the outsiders. Tribal
Venture has run well at this course before and
would relish soft ground. Another highly
regarded horse is Inca Trail, who is the only
runner from Paul Nicholls' stable. He always
underperformed for Henrietta Knight, but has won
comfortably twice this season and will enjoy
coming off a fast pace."Free GBP25 per Length Racing Bet*

With three teams tied at the top of the Six
Nations table, something's got to give this
weekend. If you're thinking of having a punt on
any of the matches, it's well worth checking out
the spread betting markets offered by Sporting
Index. Here's their Senior Rugby Market Maker
with some inspiring thoughts ahead of the game
which will certainly end one nation's Grand Slam
dream:
France v Wales
"I know it's a cliche but you never know what
you are going to get with this French side. On
paper they should be the best side in the world,
but recent performances suggest otherwise.
Winning at Twickenham was obviously a great
result, but they weren't very convincing against
an out of form England. However, they are more
than capable of exposing the weaknesses in the
Welsh back line. Keep an eye out for debutant
full-back Julian Laharrague, he should provide
more of an attacking threat than Pepito Elhorga.
"We've priced the home side up as favourites to
win by a margin of 7 to 9 points. However, I
would expect to see a few punters back Wales by
betting 'low' on this prediction. The visitors
are in good form and playing attractive rugby.
The key to a Welsh victory will be their
strength in the line out; in the last couple of
games they've lost a few of their own throws but
got away with it. They can't afford to be as
charitable against this French side. I think the
visitors will spend a lot of time defending, so
the counter-attacking ability of Shane Williams
will be an important part of their game plan. If
I was having a punt on this one, I'd back the
French to win, but only just."
Supremacy Bet Low Bet High
France/Wales 7 9
Scotland/Italy 10 13
Ireland/England 3 5
'Supremacy' is a market predicting a team's
dominance over their opposition. Sporting Index
predict the margin (in points) by which a given
team will beat their opponents, and you decide
whether their prediction is either too high or
too low.
For the France v Wales game, Sporting Index are
predicting a victory for France by a margin of 7
to 9 points, so you have a choice to make:
a) Will France win by MORE than 9 points?
or
b) Will France win by LESS than 7 points, or
tie, or Wales will win?
How much you win (or lose) depends on how right
(or wrong) you are.
Six Nations Promotion
Sporting Index is running a Player Try Minutes
promotion on every Six Nations match this year:
Buy (bet 'high' on) a player's try minutes in

is named RBS Man of the Match, they will add 10
points on to his final result, even if he
doesn't score a try.
To qualify all bets must be placed before kick
off. Terms and conditions apply.
